Hey, there!
This is Tonka from pEri!x with your unusual daily home & gift idea.
Today I want to share something different. We live in a busy world, with all the stress and responsibilities we have sometimes just 24 hours are not enough to complete everything.
And what do we do? We steal from our own sleep to spend more times on tasks and errands. Then comes the only remedy to help us stay awake - coffee!!!
I have to admit that I am a coffee lover myself but there is no need to say that too much of it causes harm to the body. And honestly, after some time, it just stops working as good.
How to stay energized and wake yourself up without a coffee?
The answer: exercise.
When you have to work late at night, or you feel sleepy in the morning, just do a 100 jumps or some other cardio physical exercise for about 10 minutes.
Just by doing this, you tell your body it is time to be active, you get oxygen to your brain and enforce your heart to beat faster and pump in the oxygen to your muscles.
If you feel very tired, do that every hour to stay awake and in good mental health!
Cheers

Unusual Home Ideas - Shopping Tips
Hey, there!
I am Tonka from pEri!x - the ONLINE SHOP for unusual upcycled gifts with your daily unusual home & gift idea.
I have to admit something - I love shopping, I mean not only strolling around thrift shops and markets, but also doing grocery shopping!
And as many say - I am the shopping queen. My husband says that when he shops he spends a 100 bucks and we have nothing to eat the next day, and when I do groceries, I spend 50 and we have meals for a week.
So I want to share with you my simple effective shopping tips:
1. Make a list - this might seem obvious but just do it properly. Make a 'need' list and a 'want' list. First get the 'need' one and only then move to the 'want's
2. Set a budget - estimate approximately how much your list is worth and take only so much money with you (of course add a 10% mark for contingency or awesome offers)
3. Follow the list - it is your mission, don't change your mind
4. Eat before shopping - it is essential that you always go grocery shopping on a full stomach, otherwise you end up with fancy things you don't actually need like my hubby
5. Check the prices and make a calculation as you go, so you know how much you have left to spend
6. Always check the bill for some discrepancies with the announced prices and don't be shy to ask your money back if you see something wrong
7. At the cash register, look at your items again - do you really need everything? Ditch the things that you don't!
Happy and effective shopping!
Cheers

How To Make Home Made Peanut Butter
Hey, you folks,
I found a wonderful super easy and super delicious peanut butter recipe and here I am sharing with you right away.
Peanut butter is something very special for me and the hubby - when I was growing up in Bulgaria, we used to see it only on TV in American movies. In post-communist Bulgaria such delights were hardly found. The hubby is a peanut butter addict, and I never buy it because it is just something alien for me. Also he is very picky - if it ain't perfect, he won't eat it, and he loved the one I made!
So we have a gap about the peanut butter :)
When I found this recipe, I decided to make a surprise for my love, and also try to make something with no additives, vegan and delicious for home. It was easier than I thought!!!
You need:
1. Food processor
2. Jar (500 ml will do)
3. 300 gr. peeled roasted peanuts (salted works better)
4. 60 gr of honey - I used 3 spoonfuls
5. A teaspoon of salt
6. 50 ml. sunflower or peanut oil
Just put everything in the food processor and blend until smooth. If it is still crunchy add a spoonful or two of water or a bit more honey, it's up to you. Store in a cool and dry place, closed in a jar. There is nothing that can go bad, so you don't need to refrigerate it.
Afiyet olsun!

p.s. That means 'Enjoy your meal' in Turkish ;) ah, and don't forget to visit my shop for the best gifts ever - it's HERE!

Unusual Book Gift Idea
Hey, there!
I know you were probably wondering why I didn't give you any gift & home ideas yesterday. Sorry, the reason is that I was part of the traditional art and vintage market in Urla, Izmir, Turkey where I live.
It was long and productive day of presenting my brand pEri!x and making people smile with my fun creations. You can see what's left HERE.
But, I have a very fun idea for a book lover. This is gift with a twist or as I like to call it a gift delayed in time.
Basically you will give as a gift a book and a bookmark. You will choose a random quote from the book and write it on the bookmark. Or print it, or have it engraved, whatever works for the bookmark you choose. Then you will give those as a gift without revealing that the quote is from the book.
Imagine your friend's amazement when they get to that quote and realize it was on the bookmark all along! It will make them smile, that's for sure :)
Enjoy and have a fun and sunny week!

Unusual Personalized Gift Idea
Hello, there!
I am Tonka from pEri!x with your daily unusual gift & home idea.
My idea for today is especially suitable for someone you are away from, someone that misses you and you can not see as much as you like.
I saw these great hand-drawn portrait mugs on Etsy. There are many options and many artists who will do that off and online.
My idea is to have your own portrait drawn on a coffee or tea mug with a personalized speech balloon, saying something like 'Far away, but always by your site' or 'At least we still drink coffee together'
You can make it funny or personal, with a message that only the two of you will understand.
If you are lazy to browse, you can find such mugs HERE. She is very talented :)
I hope you enjoy sending this personalized mug to your loved ones; make them smile every time they have a cup of coffee!
Cheers

Unusual Free Gift Idea
Heyyy :)
Welcome to my blog for daily unusual gift & home ideas. I am Tonka from pEri!x - the online shop for unusual gifts.
Today I had to attend two birthdays! Even if it is a last minute thing, I know that a gift is what makes a birthday special and unforgettable so I never show up without a little something.
So, both birthdays today were totally unexpected and honestly I had no idea what to bring as a gift.
What to do in these situations? No time or cash for a gift and you really want to make that person happy.....
Just give something you already have. I don't mean a used cup or something. There are so many gifts we receive and we never use, or some things we buy, and never get to enjoy. For example, my grandma likes to give me totally useless and out of my style things as gifts. I never say no, and it is sweet of her, BUT I never really get to use this stuff, and I can't just throw it away.
So I re-gift those. It is like recycling of gifts!
If you are one of the people who will say this is disrespectful to my grandma, well, you know what? I think it is better that someone enjoys that glass vase that I will never use, than just throwing it away...Just my point of view :)
Re-gifting is the new recycling ;)
Cheers

Book Gift - Unusual Gift
Hey, you guys, how are you?
I have some big news - I have written a handy How To Etsy ebook - just a couple of pages with the essentials. It will be available in my shop - pEri!x - together with other great upcycled products in just a few minutes.
I am Tonka with your daily unusual gift & home idea. Today I saw something amazing , that I want to recommend you as a gift.
Well, I honestly love diaries and day organizers. I learned to use them when I used to live in the Netherlands and I am an addict ever since. Having a pretty one, is just a pleasure I will never give up.
The other day I was just browsing in the bookstore when a familiar title caught my eye. I decided to open the book and just read a couple of lines to reminisce on the time I have read it for the first time. And guess what - it was empty!
Yes, plain, clean white book pages, no lines even. I thought " Wow, that's something new and cool!" so I decided to share :)
For a book lover having a notebook/daily organizer which looks exactly as their favorite book is just a dream come true!
So if you are choosing a gift for a book lover, get them such an organizer but make sure it looks just like the book. Where? Try stationaries, bookstores, or as a last resort, have it made by an artist or look online.
Cheers and happy reading...opps writing!
