Hey, there!
This is Tonka from pEri!x with your unusual home & gift idea. Today's tip is about making your home smell like a tropical garden. Did you know that you can use oranges as a house perfume?
Yes, if this is news to you, run to the supermarket or your local green grocer and get some oranges. After you have peeled them, you can eat them of course, you don't need the fruit for the perfume.
All you need is the outer skins of the oranges! Take the peels and tear them to several pieces if you haven't already done that when peeling them. Then find a heat source in your home - somewhere they will dry out. For example, in the winter you can use your central heating, or an electric stove in the kitchen. The point is to be dry and hot.
This will make the orange skins smell all around the house like heaven for a couple of hours. It can't compare to the strength of the chemical perfumes but it is all natural!
Are you back from the green grocer's yet? Start peeling!
