Christmas Shopping Idea

Hello, everyone!

I am Tonka from pEri!x - the ONLINE SHOP for unusual recycled gifts.

From my shop, I sent orders internationally, and every year I and my customers have to deal with the delays of shipments due to the Christmas shopping rush. Also, it is Kurban Bayram, the biggest muslim holiday, here in Turkey and all the post offices are closed for a week.

These got me thinking about international shopping and how holidays affect that.

So my tip for today is - if you are going to order gifts for Christmas over the Internet do it early. I mean much earlier than you would usually. The beginning of November sounds like a pretty good time for me.

If you do that, you just make sure that everything arrives on time and avoid the December rush. Also in this way you have time to inspect if everything is okay with the gifts you will give and you have the chance to return them or look for alternatives if you don't get what you expected.

Another smart tip to avoid the Christmas shopping delays is to order internationally from countries that do not celebrate Christmas. This helps tremendously with shipping times.

For example, in Turkey, where Christmas is not an official holiday, shipping is much faster around this time of the year. I love it when all the sellers in Europe are waiting impatiently for their items to arrive to their customers, and I can still offer fast and secure shipping.

Happy Christmas shopping!
Tonka
