I am just going to give you my quick unusual gift & home idea, because the weather is still meltingly pleasant here so I am going to run out with my dogs.
Let me make it real quick - one word - Jenga!
If you have played it you know what I mean - this is one of the funnest games I have ever played - teams or single players, small and big, everyone can play.
It tests both brain and stamina and it is great to learn about strategy for the little ones.
If you are looking for a hostess gift, children's gift, family gift - there you have it - Jenga.
I love this game, and in the language school where I teach the children can't seem to get enough of it, too.
A fun activity we had and you can surely do with your own children, or whenever you feel artsy, is painting the jenga bars!
We used just plain old watercolors, but you can try any kind of technique that you like. Make it fun, and don't use a single color for each bar - mix it up!
Pre-paint and gift if you have some skills - that will make it the best ever Jenga in the world :)
